I had the same problem past week and the solution for me was to uninstall After Effects Beta and the previous version. Currently in 23.0 an it works correctly.

Do you have any other version installed?

I have same issue, I'm using Macbook M1 Max 32GB, same issue have I also with warp stabilizer. I hope, the new update is gonna solve that.
