Adobe after effects and premiere pro glitch (Timeline + preview window)

To the Community,

So far I have had excrutiating issues due to all of my cameras mp4 files becoming glitched and laggy in after effects. The timeline is stuck from 29f to 29f and I have already tried messing with the hardware acceleration settings and it wont budge. It looks like my gopro videos and some older files from on the camera work but the new files that dont work are completely fine, no source glitching or corrupted data as far as I can tell. Could really use the help, thanks.

Without specific info about your system, your preview settings, actual file specs, cache settings and what have you nobody can tell you much.
