Hi,

Will anyone save me?

Adobe After Effects v.22.0.1 crashes when editing text layer.

Happens to me all the time since the update. Not on any specific project, but them all.

My PC Specs:

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900X CPU @ 3.50GHz 3.50 GHz

Instaslled RAM: 64GB

GPU: nvidia GeForce RTX2080

OS: Win 10 Pro 64bit

One of the errors I got: "After Effects error: Error attemting to duplicate a text object. Skipping the text layer. (76::53)"

yet most of the time it just crashes with no error notificatin.

Working on the latest version 22.0.1.

Hebrew text layer.

Hi tomer22214829ohx9,

Sorry for your issue.

Does it happen while working with a specific font? Would you mind testing with a different font?

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Nishu

Hey Nishu,

thanks for your answer.
Ever since I have updated to the latest version it is been crashing. It's not about a specific font. It's happening on all of the projects I've been working on (I think around 10 different projects, all with different fonts).
At first, one of the adobe support chat suggested I'm working on a corrupted project. But on new ones it's still happening.

That must be frustrating. Could you try clearing the font cache? Here's how: https://thegeekpage.com/delete-font-cache/

Let us know the result.

Thanks,

Nishu
