Hi hx4,
Sorry to hear that you're having trouble rendering your project.
Which version of After Effects and Media Encoder are you using? FAQ: How to find the exact version of After Effect... - Adobe Support Community
After Effects needs at least 16 GB RAM to function properly. That's probably why you're running into issues while rendering.
If your project is complex or if you're using other third-party plugins, try removing them temporarily and see if that helps.
Thanks,
Rameez

I'm using Adobe after effects version 18.0.1 and AME version 15, I was using a third party plugin called "sapphire". After effects kept showing me an error message with the title of "sapphire error" so I removed that plugin however it's still showing me the same error, I used the same version of after effects and media encoder on my previous laptop that had 2 GB ram however I never faced an issue while rendering, but ae just won't render any project of mine on my new 8gb ram laptop.

did you try press caps lock before click render? i always do this trick if my ae ran out of memory.
if not solved i will decrease duration using time stretch into 50% and hit render. after that increase the prerender file into 200%.

I tried but it still won't render, it still gives the error message saying "unable to allocate enough memory"

try to purge "All memory & Disc cache", this will clean the older temporal savings and increase the free space on your disc.
