AE24.2.1 3D IMPORT ERROR | 3d MODEL FOR USE WITH TRAPCODE

Engaged ,
Mar 04, 2024 Mar 04, 2024

Hallo,
Beim Import wird mir folgende Fehlermeldung angezeigt: "3d MODEL FOR USE WITH TRAPCODE"

FOR USE WITH TRAPCODE" beheben.
Das Problem liegt meiner Meinung nach an Adobe/After Effects.

Mit Besten Grüßen

Mario

Translated with DeepL.com:
Hello,
I would like to use the 3d function of After Effects,
I tried to import 3d models (obj, gltf) into AE, which is currently not working for me.
I am using the current version of AE -> After Effects version 24.2.1
When importing I get the following error message: "3d MODEL FOR USE WITH TRAPCODE"

The language setting for After Effects is set to "German".

If I change the language setting from "German" to "English", the 3d-model import works perfectly.

When will this bug be fixed or how can I fix this error "3d MODEL FOR USE WITH TRAPCODE".
In my opinion, the problem lies with Adobe/After Effects.

Best regards

Mario

Hi marog-pixcells,

I tried installing After Effects in German, and I was able to import the OBJ and GLB files without any errors. Are you getting this error with all the files? Can you try running After Effects in Safe Mode with third-party plug-ins disabled?

Let us know.

Note: Moving this thread from Bugs to Discussions for troubleshooting.

Thanks,

Nishu

Hi there,

I installed After Effects in German for testing. Tried importing a .GLTF file and it imported without any issues. Can you share a file that repeats the problem at your end? Feel free to DM me the download link if you don't want to share it publicly.

Thanks,

Nishu

It was only for testing a new clean Project and i tried obj and glb. After renaming the AE german language File the 3d import worked like ist should. Presumably, the file would open normally.
