aerender.exe ignores expressions on layers?

Community Beginner ,

Hi folks,

I have a simple comp with some footage and some textlayers.

On many layers I used the built-in "Animation Presets -> Behaviors -> Fade In+Out - frames" for just fading layers opacity in and out.

When I render the comp with the commandline-renderer "aerender.exe" everything looks as it should, except the opacity of the layers using the expression created with this preset. It's like the commandline-renderer ignores or doesn't "understand" the expressions on the opacity. Concerning layers are just 100% opaque.

What I am doing wrong? Or is it a bug? Why "aerender.exe" just doesn't render the comp like AE would?

Kind regards,
Ronny

It's a submitter plugin problem.
We use a 3rd party script to send AE comps to our renderfarm.

Now I have to debug together with the developer, what's wrong with their script.

If I render the comp manually, aerender.exe is english and the comp looks good.

It's a language problem.

We installed AE in english, but the aerender.exe "works" still in german. I was wondering why aerender.exe logs in german, altough our AE on all machines is installed in english.

I switched my AE to german by editing the "....\Support Files\AMT\application.xml" and reassigned all expressions and retried to render it with aerender.exe. Now the expressions work and the layers fade in and out.

But that's not a solution, because we need to use AE in english.

The question is:
How do I get aerender.exe to work in english? Seems, it doesn't use the key

<Data key="installedLanguages">en_GB</Data>

set in the "....\Support Files\AMT\application.xml".

Even on a machine, which is completely english, aerender.exe logs its output in german.
