I'm running aerender across several machines and I often find that it uses the wrong font. This only happens on a machine where I am not logged in to creative cloud. When I do log in I sometimes get a notice about updating fonts and then it renders with the correct fonts. However, those fonts existed previously on the machine.
So it appears that I have to be logged in to my CC account in order for the fonts to work correctly.
But I thought aerender allows me to utilize processors on any computer. Am I missing something? If not, how do I get aerender to use the correct fonts?
Thanks,
rgames
Fonts from Adobe Fonts are only available if you are logged in.
There is nothing wrong with aerender, it just don't have access to the necessary ressource if you are not logged in and falls back to a stanard font.
If you want to avoid the log-in situation, you have to download the font and install it on every computer.

Maybe check to see if the font exist on those machines outside of AE.
If not I'd recommend purchasing the font on a service like Font.com

I don't have any software on that machine other than the Adobe apps that could determine if they exist outside the Adobe apps.
But are those fonts not supposed to be available for aerender if I'm not signed in? Or am I just missing a configuration option somewhere?
Again, I thought the point of aerender is that it lets you make use of machines that are just sitting around, even ones where you're not signed in. If you don't have access to fonts then that utility is severely reduced.
Thanks,

I strongly recommend the use of Adobe Fonts. That is the easiest way to make sure that the same version of the same font is used for the renders.
If you purchase fonts from anyone else you must make sure that the same version is shared and installed on every machine. There are dozens of versions of many font families. They all have the same name, but they don't have the same look. If you don't get a missing font warning when the AEP is opened but the fonts are different that is the reason. Your Garamond is different than the Garamond on the second machine because one came from Fonts R' Us and the other came from Fonts R' Fun.

OK thanks for the replies. I guess it's working as intended, though not being able to access fonts seems like a pretty serious limitation for aerender.
Bummer.

The limitation is not a matter of aerender.
Adobe Fonts are not installed into the system, but provided through Adobe app. If you are not logged in, Adobe Fonts are not present, therefore can't get used by any software.
However, you found another black hole in Adobe universe. This happends if you focus on new developments and don't update existing tools.
All you can do is to create a feature request, at least:
