Hello.
My after Effects has been crashing continuously for several months now, on not very big projects. I am lost.
I have piles of ram/memory. Am up to date version wise. I can't even have chrome/google open, or any other programmes/apps alongside.
All my info is below:
Is it my graphics card? plugins? memory?
Memory:
Graphics:
Storage: I use D drive which is SSD
plugins/extensions:
Many thanks in advance....

Sorry to hear about the crash, Caroline.
Is there a specific action/command that triggers the crash, or does it happen randomly? Are there any crash reports or error messages? Try running After Effects in Safe Mode with third-party plug-ins disabled.
Let me know the outcome.
Thanks,
Nishu

Hi Caroline, thanks for getting back.
Unfortunately, I don't see the actual screenshots, just their names. Would you mind sharing them again? If you'd like, you can upload them to the cloud (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc) and share the link here.
Thanks,
Nishu

Hi Caroline,
Sorry for the delayed response. I can see the screenshots now. It looks like a project-specific issue. Do you mind sharing a few details about the project - what type media are you using, which effects, etc. The messages shows that the project you're working on is using a a lot of resources. It could happen if there's high resolution media in the project and some effects like Motion Tile is applied to it.
Let me know.
Thanks,
Nishu

Thanks for getting back. Please try this:
Go to Effects menu > Manage Effects > disable all the third-party plug-ins and start working as you normally do. If After Effects doesn't crash, it's one of the plug-ins. In that case, you'd need to enable each plug-in at a time and then test. That'll help you find the faulty plug-in.
If After Effects still crashes even with the plug-ins disabled, then it's probably not them. In that case, a crash log would be helpful to understand what's going on. Here's how you can collect the crash log:
1. Start AE
2. Help Menu > Enable Logging
3. Restart AE
4. Use After Effects until it crashes.
5. Restart After Effects and go to Help Menu > Reveal Logging Files...
6. Find the "After Effects Log.txt" file and copy/paste the content back to this forum thread.
Looking forward to your response.
Thanks,
Nishu
