After Effect 22.0.1 crashes after sending to Media Encoder
I have a very large comp that I have been working in AE2020 without issue.
I just started using 22.0.1 and when I add to Abobe Media Encode Queue this happens:
1. Menu item selected > add to Abobe Media Encode Queue
2. Item is succesfully added to the Abobe Media Encode Queue and shows up in list
3. After Effects starts autosave and crashes, every single time.
Notes, I can save without issue and I can autosave without issue.
All apps up todate as of Nov 29 2021
Now I'm back to using the old versions despite paying a huge subscription fee for the new features.

I'm new to this forum. Does Adobe monitor these crash reports or do I just get a participation badge and no answer after paying for my AE subscription?

Hello,
had exactly the same problem and figured out it was caused by a third-party plugin (in my case old Red Giant and Trapcode plugins).
Started reducing the project using the File-Dependencies-Reduce project to isolate groups of compositions. The problem only happened when I had a couple of compositions in the project that used those plugins. Deleted the effects and everything was fine.
Hope it works for you.

Hi Andy,
Sorry for your issue.
The version of After Effects you're using has some issues with Dynamic Link functionality. The issues were fixed in the later releases. Is there a particular reason why you have not installed the latest version?
I agree with what Sergi said. Third-party plug-ins interfere with the Dynamic Link in some cases.
Let us know if any of it helps.
Thanks,
Nishu
