Are you referring to the colour change in the text colour?
Please post a screengrab of your project window with all edited parameters visible on the counter layer. (Select the layer and press UU to reveal all parameters.

Agree with Andrew. You need to provide more info on what is going on, how you set up the expression or whatever and so on.
