after effect warning : cinema 4d 2025 must be installed BUG?

Hi, I installed Adobe After Effects 2025 and also installed all the Cinema 4D related programs, but I still get the warning message that says "Cinema 4D 2025 must be installed in order to use the Cinema 4D renderer." How can I fix this issue?

The issue may be related to the permission of the folder. Would you launch After Effects via Terminal.app? The command line is something like this.

sudo open  /Applications/Adobe\ After\ Effects\ 2025/Adobe\ After\ Effects\ 2025.app

Hello! Thank you for your reply. I launched the Terminal as you recommended, but it showed me the message:
zsh: permission denied: /Applications/Adobe After Effects 2025/Adobe After Effects 2025.app
What should I do now?

Can you check if you're able to launch Cinema 4D as an individual app? Also, try giving full disk access to the terminal so that it can open After Effects.

Hi Nishu, Sorry for the late reply. I really appreciate your patience. On my computer, I don’t see the Cinema 4D app at all. Also, when I open the file I uploaded, it launches Premiere Pro instead of After Effects.

I granted Full Disk Access to the terminal, but I still can’t open After Effects from the terminal.

Go to the Creative Cloud desktop app and find the After Effects Apps tab. Click the three dots and select Get-ons. You should then have an option to install Cinema 4D.

Also, to open After Effects project in After Effects, you need to change the file association. Here's how: https://adobe.ly/4puaTtT
