Hi all, this is kinda urgent.
I work with AE at school and suddenly my pc won't open AE anymore. Whenever I try to open the program it loads for about 10 seconds, then at the "Initializing Media Core" stage everything freezes, I hear the laptop fan stopping and then I get a BSOD with the VIDEO DXGKRNL FATAL ERROR.
I hadn't installed or done anything to my PC at all before the error started to pop up.
So far I have:
-Completely uninstalled and reinstalled my graphics drivers on safe mode
-Updated Windows 10 to version 21H1
-Reinstalled Direct X using the installer provided by Windows
-Renamed the Media Core Commons folder
And nothing has worked so far. I still get the BSOD and Im running out of time.
Here are my laptop specs, it an Acer Nitro 5. Any help will be very much appreciated.
AMD Ryzen 5 2500U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx 2.00 GHz
AMD Radeon(TM) Vega 8 Graphics
RAM 8,00 GB
64 Bits, x64
Gotta say it again, before all this happened my PC was working just fine with the 2021 version of AE.

Have you checked the Acer website for graphics driver updates?

Can't find any graphics drivers in the Acer website :c Got the latest update from the AMD Radeon Software Tool and every other single game and software works just fine except for AE.

Have you actually used the legacy DX installer that includes the older versions and not just v10/ 11. Other than that there isn't realyl much we can tell you without some more specific details from the system crash logs. Start by checking your Event Viewer and Device Manager. Also boot into safe mode and/ or eanble the hidden default admin account to debug your issues.

Hi DAIKI5DA6,
Sorry for your issue.
Usually, it's the GPU driver that causes such issues. In some cases, changing the power management settings to maximum performance in the AMD Radeon Settings/Nvidia Contorl Panel settings helps.
Let us know if that works.
Thanks,
Nishu
