After Effects 2023 Will Not Launch

Hi. I installed After Effects 2023 on my PC. It comes up with the splash screen and thats as far as it gets. It just craps out. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times. No luck. Any ideads I can try? Thank you. Ed.

My computer is a:

APEXX S3_06 - 64 bit

64 Gigs of RAM

Running Windows 10

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Graphics Card

Hey Ed,

I'm sorry to hear about this. Could you try running After Effects as an Administrator (Right-click on the After Effects icon > Run as administrator)? If that doesn't work, please create a new Administrator account to check if there's any issue with your current account's permissions.

Hi. Thanks for your response. I tried what you suggested. Did not work. Splash screen comes up and then disapperars. Program does not open. It puts an After Effects icon on my desktop everytime I try to launch it. I loaded an older version, After Effects 2022, and it opens but when I go to Media Encoder to spit out a video it just goes into an endless loop that says its trying to link to the Dynamic Server. Never connects. I don't know where to go from here. Ed

Do you have any antivirus or firewall installed in your system (other than Windows Defender)? If so, could you temporarily disable it to check if After Effects launches?

If your After Effects stops at startup screen, you try two things.

1. Update your graphic card driver.

2. Remove the fonts which are unnecessary or customized.

Do you use an anti-virus software? If so, you turn it off.

I'm having the same problem, everytime i try to start it. it just loads the splash screen and it just does not load after that. I can't even find it
