💡 After Effects 22.3 and 22.4 startup crash on macOS 10.15.3 and earlier

The After Effects team has identified an issue where After Effects 22.3 and 22.4 would crash at launch on macOS Catalina 10.15.3 and earlier.

The fix is to update to macOS Catalina 10.15.7.

Ciao, io ho aggiornato Catalina al 10.15.7. ma After Effect 22.4 non funziona: non salva i progetti, importa solo con drag and drop, non esporta, non svuota la chace e non crea cartell di autosalvataggio.

Beaucoup de bugs dans le logiciel. Il démarre mais les menus déroulant ne s'affichent pas. Par exemple si je clique sur Fichier ou Edition, rien ne se passe. De plus, l'effet "tracking" ne fonctionne pas. Impossible de mettre en place l'effet sur mon rush.

J'ai désinstallé et réinstallé le logiciel mais toujours pareil. Je suis sur un mac Monterey v12.4 M1 8go

J'ai trouvé une solution provisoire à mon problème. J'ai désinstallé la dernière version de AE et j'ai réinstallé la version 18.4.6 et je n'ai plus de problème (pour le moment).

after effects won't open and i tried everything. im on monterey 12.1. i even tried older versions of AE and also crashes on startup. the report mentions s code dignature invalid issue

Hello! I have a similar problem that started last week. I keep getting an "After Effects Warning: Unknown Exception" when I try to boot After Effects (version 22.5), and then this warning about a required directory (See below). This is odd, because I gave Full Disk Access to Ae. 

Completely reinstalling Monterey and Creative Suite doesn't resolve the issue. However, Ae runs in Safe Mode and on the test user account I made while troubleshooting... Has this happened to anyone else?

Apple and Adobe are both working on this issue.

This morning after updating to AE v22.5, AE crashes on startup every time. I saw a relatable (but not identical) post in another thread about removing the plugin folders from the Common folder, but THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE - Over the last decade, I have purchased over half a dozen plugins for my motion design work and I NEED these to be working - regardless of how many damn updates Adobe pushes!
