AE Refuses to read any HAP format video I load in the program. It literally doesn't show any preview. About the export, even after installing the HAP Encoder from the link below, the HAP option doesn't show in the Output module -> Format.
I'm working on a Macbook Pro M1 Max.
The only way I found to make it work is to open AE with Rosetta. By doing so, everything is where it should be. Clearly a problem of optimization of AE for M1.
Using Rosetta works, but slows down dramatically the overall performance of AE.
Is there any workaround to fix this problem?
I'd really appreciate some help. Thanks!

You answered your own question already. If it only works on Rosetta, then it is what it is. You simply have to wait until things are fixed in future updates, both in AE and the CoDec itself.

What are your system specifications? Are you working on an ARM-based Apple device?
Thanks,

I see! As suggested by the expert and mentioned in the original post, the Hap Encoder code is old and not optimized for the ARM-based machines.
Feel free to reach out if there are any other questions.
Thanks,
Nishu
