After Effects 25.4 crashing while working

This is by far the most unreliable version of After Effects I have used in 15 years.  Today I've had about 20 crashes, caused by all sorts of minor actions - precomping a layer, clearing the cache, changing the cache location back to my cache disk after restting preferences.  It's just ridiculous at this point.  Can't you just go back to bringing a new version out every few years and spending the time in between fixing the ever increasing amount of bugs?

Sorry to hear about the issue. Do you mind sharing more details? What are your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS version)? Are there any crash reports? Is it happening in a specific project file or all of them?
