Hello good folk - and apologies if this is the wrong space to ask a question

I have an after effects subscription which includes cinema 4d lite -

I have created some assets in zbrush that I wish to bring into after effects via cinema 4d layer

which is fine I can import my 3d model into cinema 4d lite - the thing is for the life of me I cannot work out is where is my gimbal/axis to be able to move and rotate my object.

it just isn't there. Even if I create a new base mesh - eg a cube there is no gimbal/axis to move the object.

I can rotate and move the viewport but not the actual model.

I have watched a few days of tutorials - and even sent my question to Maxon who told me to instal the latest version. Which it already is.

i even tried to access the axis through the asset browser as if I were trying to reposing it - it didn't exist there either

I am obviously missing something very simple -

any help would be much appreciated

thank you

brett
