After effects crash

New Here ,
Sep 13, 2021 Sep 13, 2021

When I was working in after effects improting images it had crashed. I didn't think much of it at the time and I finished making my video. When I went to export it to media encoder so I can save it to my computer I realized the file has renamed itself to After Effects Crash.aep and when I had downloaded it with media encoder, all my photos that I had placed were replaced with the SMPTE color bars. However it was also odd because I had placed some screenshots in the video as well and those didn't have any problems. It was just the photos. Is there anything I can do to fix that without having to restart my project?

Without any specific info about your system and your footage we can't really tell you much. The usual standard steps apply: Clear the caches, trash the prefertences, possibly reinstall AE, update your graphics driver and check hardware accleration settings. If you provide more info we can certainly help you more specifically if trying those things does not fix the problem.
