After Effects Crashing Opening Preferences

Hi,

My AE keeps crashing every time I try to open Preferences, this kinda sucks because I recently got a new motherboard and AE reset my audio output, and the only way I can change it is through Preferences? I have no sound right now and basically just cannot use AE anymore but I really need it. I've also had this issue before when I first downloaded AE 2023 but then somehow I did end up changing my output (Don't remember how specifically sorry)

Is there anyone who can help me with this? 😞

I've tried;
- Uninstalling Reinstalling

- Deleting Preferences in different ways
-  Purge
-  Downgrade

-  Restaring PC
- Update my GPU drivers
- Checked with my AntiVirus

My specs;

- 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13700K

-  MPG Z790 EDGDE WIFI (MS-7D91)

- 32GB RAM

- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti

Without an actual crash log and info on how your sound is configured at the system level we can't really tell you much. In fact it could be entirely unrelated even. In any case, I would boot into safe mode first and delete all device drivers via Device Manager, then reboot and let Windows reinstate this stuff. This often fixes such quirks with incompatible drivers lingering after hardware updates. Of course also run Windows Update in case new patches and updated drivers are available.
