Hello everybody

I am using after effects CS5.5 for several years now and it is perfect for our doings.

Recently however I have the following problem.

It does not recognize my videocard. Open Gl is not enabled when I start up.AE.PNG

I already searched on the internet and tried different things but nothing worked.

I updated after effects, updated my videcard and tried some other things.

Still no result and I was hoping to find an answer here.

My videocard does supprt open GL2.0 It is a MSI Geforce GTX 1060 GB.

I have no other adapter so I cant switch one of in my Bios.

I also found an article about putting the name of videocard in a specified AE folder but this folder is not available in my AE version.

If anyone has any other ideas that would be great.

Thanks for the help

Un-update your graphics driver. Older cards are no longer supported in newer Nvidia drivers.

Thank you. I Asume that could help. Unfortunally when I am looking into that I do not see the option of going back to an earlier version of the videocard driver. Is there another way to do that?. Sorry I am not that technical. Maybe you know how to so I can try to do so.

Thank you anyhow. Really apriciated

You will need to manually download older drivers from Nvidia. The 47x.xx series still supports legacy cards fully, the 5xx.xx doesn't.
