Hello all! While working on a video project for work earlier I ran into this error message in After Effects:

After Effects error: internal verification failure, sorry! {MCCompute unexpected stuff of wrong type. corrupt cache??}

I closed the app, cleared my cache and re-opened the file to see if the whole dang thing got corrputed, and it seemed to open fine, until during playback of my composition I got the error message again. Any input on this error and how I could potentially fix/avoid it?

There should be an auto save folder near where your project was saved. Hopefully you can find a working version of your project which has most of your work.

Hi Cat31626632q5mg,

Welcome to the community and sorry for your issue.

Does it happen in multiple projects? What are your system specs (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS version)? Could you try importing your project into a new project?

Let us know if that brings any change.

Thanks,

Nishu
