After Effects error - wha is this??

This comes up every time I open AE2025 (25.5.0) (MacOS 15.6.1 Apple Silicon M4).

Everything works after I close it but still it's a sign of something... AE2024 doesn't show it. Is it because of some plug-in, extension etc?

Hi @Atte J.,

Yes, that error is coming from a script or extension that is trying to access the current theme color via deprecated scripting APIs.

Try closing all script & extension panels, quit AE, then relaunch. Now open your script panels one at a time until the error appears to see which one is causing the dialog. Many scripts, like Duik, have already updated to remove usages of the old scripting APIs, so you likely need to update a script or contact a script developer to ask them to update it.
