Hi
This has been an ongoing issue, I have spoken to maybe a dozen people at Adobe support and I did all their trouble shooting and nothing worked. They ended up telling me to reformat my PC which I really don’t want to do.
I will explain what happens as it's unusual.
My PC freezes completely, not just AE. Freezes for about 20 seconds and my monitor turns off and on. I here that windows connect sound. Then my composition area is white and AE is buggy so I need to restart after effects.
I receive no error message. I have no issues with any other apps just AE.
Usually the freeze is triggered when I click outside of AE or when I have Media encoder open and switch between apps by clicking the icons on the taskbar.
Trouble shooting that I have done so far
Clean uninstall and reinstall
Removed all plugins
Updated drivers
Turn off Hardware acceleration.
Maximum amount of memory allocated.
Delete all disk cache files
Rolling back to older versions
Delete temp folders
Computer specs are
RTX 2070 Super
64GB ram
AMD Ryzen 7 5800X

You did almost everything... Anyway, if you didn't yet, I would try latest nvidia Studio driver and see if it works

Drivers have been updated.
I think we need to focus on what happens, the monitor closes and open when AE freezes. What mechanism would cause that?

If everything that you've listed has not resolved the issue, I would do a clean install of Windows, any necessary drivers, and a clean install of After Effects. Then, use After Effects at the default settings with some of the tutorial projects with nothing else intsalled.
Assuming that works as expected, start installing other applications and drivers - testing After Effects as you go.

Have you tried taking a closer look at the source footage being used in After Effects?

Its happening on mutlple different projects with different source footage.
Maybe its to do with windows 11 and GPU conflict?

Exactly my same problem. Work at home with my pc on AE it became absolutely IMPOSSIBLE.
Similar pc specs, but I have a 3080 and 5800x3d. Adobe and Microsoft MUST address this problem.
