After effects freezes randomly

Hello,

I recently got this problem where my after effects freezes after a few clicks. Or whenever i preview my video the video will keep playing but my after effects freezes. I did everything I could. Does someone have a solution for this cause i can't edit anymore. (no crash logs either)

Without any system info we can't tell you much. The most likely cause simply are issues with hardware acceleration, so take the time to check the settings and update your graphics driver. Anything beyond that will require better info.

My PC specs are: gtx 1660 super, Ryzen 5 3600, 32GB ram with 3200mhz. I always used to run it without experience a crash once. But now it keeps crashing after like 30 seconds.

Make sure to use the latest Studio Driver from NVIDIA (NOT the Game Driver).

Just did this and didn't fix it either 😞 . I kinda have the feeling my gpu is broken but I can run every game smoothly without any crashes).

Your GPU isn't broken, it's just AE's poor implementation of some GPU functions. I suggest you try again and create a custom application profile in the NVidia settings, then toggle the individual options until things work. Unfortunately there's no general way to make it magically work. The number of possible combinations is simply too great. You may want to start by disabling advanced features like antialiasing and G-Sync.

I tried turning a few settings off but it didn't help it. I even clean installed windows and went an update back. And now whenever i touch the timeline my screen goes black for a second and crashes afterwards.
