Sometimes when I do things like open google while working on heavy things, my computer literally blue screens. Now on a rare occasion, when ae is open and my computer crashes, when I boot my computer up again, it'll give the error 33 :: 4. This error means, "Missing Data in File" This basically means your project file is corrupted, and you have to rely on the last autosave (not when you manually saved) but the autosave thats in your folders.
After Effects has corrupted 3 of my project files today. 2 of the times I was lucky enough to make a copy or an autosave happened minutes before, but this time I lost 45 minutes of work. Not to mention how many times I've blue screened without having anything corrupt. I'm seriously getting sick of how laggy ae is on my computer, even when I do the most to optimize it.

I'm wondering if upgrading anything would help me not crash. I'm also wondering if theres a way to not have my pf's corrupt? Sure adobe, make my computer blue screen every hour, just don't corrupt my files-type of thing.

Hi drmontrays!
Sorry about the crash. Does it happen with a particular project? Can you check if there's an update available for your GPU driver? Could you also check if crash reports are saved? https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-discussions/faq-how-to-find-after-effects-crash-logs-on....
Let us know.
Thanks,
Kartika
