After effects mask won't work.

Hello! I've recently started masking and was stuck in one problem. I couldn't get the mask to work. 

Here are some screenshots.

With Composition Options on:

These were the screenshots I could provide. Even turning on Mask Refrence, it still wouldn't be cut out.

It works just fine, but of course throwing on effects may wack out things. You may simply need to pre-compose your steps. Not everything can be done directly.
