After effects not connecting to Media Encoder

Not the first time a problem with rendering in ME. But this time i have a package - problem with solution

AE 18.2.1, ME 15.2

Problem: When you choose export/add to queue in AME nothing happen. Media Encoder (running) is not showing in front and there is no new position in queue.

Solution. When you hit add to AME render queue you have to hit Composition/add to render queue. The magically a your file appears in ME queue window. Even if you hit three times add to AME render queue you will get three positions in render window in AME

It could be that you are not having enough patience to wait for the composition to be read in Adobe Media Encoder, this process usually takes a while, have the test waiting a little longer when you launch the Adobe Media Encoder Render Queue.

Nope. Making coffee with milk in clasical machine gives something like 10 minutes. This is not the first issue in cooperation between AE and AME. Second, When AME is working it pops up to the front when a file is added to the queue and this didn't happened. I was trying 3 times to add to AME que without result, so after a comand to add to render queue in AE i've got 3 files in AME queue at once

Hi RrNo,

Is this issue repeatable? Please share more details on your system specifications (CPU, GPU, RAM, OS).

Have you tried resetting the After Effects preferences: https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects/faq-how-to-reset-trash-preferences-in-after-effects/td-...

Let us know, we're here to help.

Thanks,

Nishu

Yes, a few times. And a few times i was exiting AE and AME and restarting computer. Even with SMC and PRAM reset. All the components (i.e. System, AE, AME even Adobe CC) are instaled from the scratch - mac os Catalina - after erasing disc yesterday. All CC aplications are lates versions

hardware - MacBook pro Quad core i7 2,6, 16 GB RAM

at first i have a few times problem with dynamic linking with message :
"Could not read from the source. Please check if it has moved or been deleted."
That waas solved by turning off paralell encoding in AME. Thenafter that files stop to appear in queue in AME. The reason why i've found the solution was that i was looking for a way around, to render QT mov file and to convert it in third party soft to mp4
