After Effects not opening-- MacOS Version 12.0.1 Macintosh

Hello,

So I was so excited to use after effects but the problem is it only opens on the 2022 version but not older versions. When I try to get the older version, such as 18.4, it doesn't go past the splash screen. The icon bounces and the spalsh screen goes up but then nothing happens. The splash screen is gone and icon bouncing stopped. I kept redownloading it but nothing is working. The version i'm attempting to get is 18.4 or older. I have a Mac monterery, if you need more info feel free to say.

Do you see any error messages or crash reports? What's the last loading model on the splash screen right before it crashes?
