Hi,
I am super confused.
So I was watching a youtube turorial, (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=viGTKEY6lYQ)
Here, he makes the spine parent of front cover. Then he rotates the spine at 2 sec 90°, I see the front cover rotates as well, I take this happens for parenting.
Later he took the front cover and at 2 sec he rotates it 90° and it acts as if it was 180°. I understand this also. It happens because the spine’s rotation impacts the front cover’s movement.
My question is, when I checked the front covers position key frame it was empty! No movement there!
Then when front cover rotates along with spine what was that? What cause that movement? And why there is no keyframe in it’s position property?
Is it magic?
I want logical explanation.
Please help me. I do not understand it.
He has split layers and changed properties. The child layer follows the parent. You can animate the child separately, but it always follows the parent's position, rotation, and scale movement.
I give the tutorial a D for explanation and a C for workflow.
If your animation works properly, select all layers and press the U key twice. You will see all the modified properties of all layers. You should be able to why everything moves as it does.
