After Effects - Preview cache keeps reloading

Hi there,

I've got a strange issue with AE 22.4 and 22.5 in Windows 10, where the preview cache keeps reloading constantly. No matter if the preview is paused or playing, the reloading keeps on happening, meaning it can never cache a "static" section of the comp, i.e. previews are incredibly choppy.

This is only happening for one of the projects I'm working on. Importing this project into a clean AE project doesn't solve the issue. I've cleaned the cache and the database, but this also doesn't fix it.

Does anyone have an idea what might cause this behaviour in this particular project and how I can fix it? Thanks for letting me know!

Same problem on my side... I just reinstalled AE and did not accept to migrate the old AE settings and now it's working pretty fine. Let's hope it will wontinue to work fine 🙂
