I've been trying to fix this for hours but I just can't seem to get it to work no matter what I do. I can scroll through the preview fine, but if I press play it is delayed for like 10 minutes or even more every time, even when all the cached frames are green (which should indicate that they're already prerendered) and I basically can't edit anything because I can't play it back. This is on 1080p footage with no effects. I have an i7 and an rtx 4060 with 32gb of ram so I feel like this shouldnt be a problem for me and I'm not really sure what to do. Right now I'm just trying rolling back after effects to the previous versoin (I am on 2024 but there was an update a few days ago and that's when my problems began).
