AFTER EFFECTS - Shift Key to rezise? (Does not work for me)

Hello

I am learning After Effects in the new AE version.....my training course is about 2 yrs old.

But the course person instructs me (in Mac) - to resize my image by using SHIFT / DRAG a corner anchor.......

It does not happen and the image just stays static - I can use OPTION - but it does not constrain the proporions that way. Does anyone know how to sort this?

I could go by the timeline area to do this - but think this approach is quicker (above).

Hope someone could advise me please

thanks: Daryl

Click on any quadrant of the layer, start dragging, and then, press the Shift key to constrain the original proportions.

Hello - thanks for replying, but afraid I have touched everywhere to activate the image and use SHIFT/Drag a corner to quickly resize in After Effects - it refuses to come to life when I try and use Sift to resize the image on screen.

Providing image of FISH on my screen to see what is the problem here...appreciate any help. Its the fish that I am trying to resize quickly and just not getting anywhere - the tutor of online course did it (in his lesson), but has not replied to my question!

thanks: Daryl

Try Drag, then press Shift.

If that does not work, try resetting your mouse drivers.

Thanks Rick - will have another try......but think something is wrong here......I click the edge and hold shift (and the frame just loses the edge points and line around image - nothing can be selected). Will try an record the screen to show whats happening!
