I've tried updating the IOS software, Adobe Creative Cloud cleaning, even tried the whole Shift+Option+Command (Preferences cleaning). I'm still left with a beach ball rolling. I'm totally desparate here!

No system or OS details only leaves me with one suggestion. Roll back to a previous version that worked using the Creative Cloud app/other versions tool, or you can try using the Adobe Cleaner tool and re-install. If neither of those workflows solves the problem then your system does not meet the minimum system requirements or your GPU drivers are probably causing problems.
