I suggest starting with the Learn Workspace. You can find it under the Widow/Workspaces menu. That will give you the basics of the UI in just a few minutes. Then, start going through the User Guide. That will get you started on some simple comps.
For more advanced training, I prefer LinkedIn Learning. It costs a few dollars but is worth it when projects get complex. Start training on the company websites if you purchase 3rd Party Effects from Maxom, Video Copilot, Boris FX, or Scripts and Effects from AEScripts.
Most of the tutorials you find with a web search are presented by enthusiasts. Many are just recipes that only work with specific assets, some workflows are poorly thought out, and the explanations can be lacking. If you have problems with a tutorial, make sure you post a link to the tutorial so we can help you figure it out.
