AfterEffects not using my GPU Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060

Hi Dear Community,

I'm not sure if I'm using After Effects right or not !

I think it should use GPU at it maximum. it seems like it not using anything but 100% from CPU.

GPU : Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060

CPU : Intel i5 - 10400F

PC lags and freezes when rendering a video.. Can you help please !!

Is it happening in all the projects? Which GPU effects are you using? After Effects will use the GPU when GPU-accelerated effects are used in the project. You can identify the GPU-accelerated effects by this icon right before the name of the effect (screenshot). If it still doesn't work, updating the GPU driver should be the first step.

Ok, I've make a new blank project with 1 footage and used GPU effects and YES it works great.

but most of templates on the Internet like ( Envato AfterEffects Templates ) are very bad in this environment !

do you know how to fix that ?

You make sure that  your PC chooses RTX 4060 and you confirm it on Nvidia control panel.
