My anchor point is stuck on my parent layer and I cant figure out how to get it unstuck. I have tried the pan behind tool, which simply does not work. I also tried changing the values numerically, but as soon as I do, my screen changes to a solid color and I have no clue what's going on. Please help.

Hi @PrimitiveGrip,

Thank you for posting about this issue. Would you be able to share the project file that demonstrates the behavior in your screen recording? It's possible the behavior is related to the parenting structure or expressions on the Anchor Point, but it's difficult to tell from the screen recording alone.

Thanks for reporting this issue and for any further information you can provide,

- John, After Effects Engineering Team

Hi John,

I am working with extreme zoom because I am creating art where you keep
zooming out of different illustrations. This may be the reason why the
anchor point is behaving the way it is. If I share the file with you via
email, will it be accessible to anyone other than yourself? I don't mean to
accidentally post this work anywhere publicly...

Select the problem layer, then press 'uu' to look for any modifications to the layer. I suspect that there may be an expression that is setting the anchor point.

I press "uu" and it opens the transform panel. Is there any other way I can
visualize the expressions applied to this layer? I also realized that when
I zoom my parent layer out, the anchor point is able to move again, it is
only in the extreme zoom (900000000000000%) that it stops moving. I have
this ridiculous amount of zoom because I'm attempting to make one of those
pieces where you keep zooming out of an image.
