Animate to After Effects issues

Hi all,

I'm not quite a newb but I'm self taught in some probably janky ways. I just made a 12 second animation of 360 frames in Animate, and I want to import it to Ae to do some other things to it. When I do, however, the timeline is blank and I can't manipulate anything in that windo. Curious to see what would happen, I try to preview in AE, and it tells me I need 2 or more frames to run preview. Obviously, that's why I have 360.

The file consists of three layers, the bulk of which was fixed in Animate because I just wanted the wheels to spin.

What could I possibly be doing wrong? I have watched all the youtube videos and the process is completely seemless.

Thanks in advance,

Shay

Plz. There's no way to move forward with this passion project besides. All apps are up to date. The "in point" and"out point" listed for my imported animation in the "project" window are also only "0:00:00:00" and "0:00:00:01" respectively.

Don't use SWF files directly in AE.  Convert to an intermediate Quicktime file and then import to AE.
