Hi,
I’ve created an animated AE map showing a route for a sailing trip. However, when I render at 4K and upload to YouTube the track and labels are very low resolution when played on iPhone or iPad, but very clear when played on a PC. If I render it at 1080, then playback is much better on the IOS devices, (but still not ideal) whereas playback from the PC is very poor (text unreadable).
Wondering if anyone has advice on how to get a good quality youtube playback that is consistent on both PC and IOS devices for a project like this.
Thank you,
Tim
This is nothing you have any control over. Youtube simply creates a whole load of versions of your original file and then simply decides which of the streams it will use depending on the capabilities of the device you are viewing on and things such as bandwidth. At best you can turn off certain types of streams in your YT Studio settings to enforce higher resolutions and data rates to always be used, but that may prevent many users from actually bothering to view your content.
