Anyone know how to achieve this gradient background animation effect?

If you haven't heard of Broken.TV - he's an awesome AE creator, with some incredibly helpful tutorials.

I was wondering though, if anyone here knows how to re-create this type of gradient background he created for a NASA logo animation. The gradient can be seen here:

You can apply and animate multiple gradients on a shape layer using blend molds. The choices are almost limitless. I don't have time to show you anything right now but it's pretty easy to figure out.
