Applying moving eyes to a moving subject

Hi,

I've got to stick a couple of eyes on a monster's face. Not a big deal, if it wasn't for the fact that the eyes in question are on the footage of a man, moving and blinking. I duplicated the footage, created a mask, motion tracked in order to get the eyes out, no big deal. But the eyes are moving, because the guy with black paint around his eyes is moving.

After singleing them out, I'd like to have them still in the center of the layer, in order to motion track the monster face and stick them on the green dots. THe eye would still be blinking, but the mask with the eye on it should not move. I hope it makes sense!

There might be an easier, more efficient workflow. Can anybody please help?

THanks a lot !

I would use Face tracking for this kind of project. Your screenshots don't show any modified properties of the layers so I'm not exactly sure what you were doing. There is a good tutorial on Face tracking in the online user guide. Here's a link:Use Face Tracking in After Effects | Adobe After Effects ...

One more thing. * The "Drag & Drop here..." area is buggy and should not be used to share images. Please use the toolbar or just drag your images to the reply field.
