Bad fomat or not readable

I cannot open files they all seem to have corrupted even the autosave ones - lost loads of work!!

any ideas how to fix - tried dragging in, renaming... no good!

You are reading from an E: drive so I would venture to say it is an external drive, if so make sure it is connected properly.

If you recently updated Ae, try to install the previous version just to check if it is the latest version that is causing the error.

With technology, nothing is set in stone and anything can happen, so you have to rule out possibilities.

Yes tried previous version 22 no good.

E is not external but i have copied to C and still no good 😞

Does the file open in VLC, Media Player, Premiere Pro or any other program?  If not, then it's lost, but if it does, maybe you can convert it?
