Blinking Cursor Typewriter Console Character Thickness

I'm using the blinking cursor typewriter console effect but would like the cursor to have a different font style so that the thickness is thin. Is there a solution for this?

You can create a separate text layer without any text and apply the Effect. You can keep the font style as per choice.
