Brush tool crash

Both the brush and rotobrush tools do not work. When I start using them, after effects turns off.
AE is updated to the latest 23.3.0
Mac Studio M1 Ultra MacOS 13.3.1
I can't work with those tools!
Any solution?

Are you opening the layer in the Laner Panel? Both of those tools only work in the Layer Panel. Right-click on a layer and select Open/Layer

Yes, I have been working with that tool for many years and I know how to use it. The problem is that when you use it on your layer, when you select the brush and start using it on your layer, the after effects closes

Do you see any error messages or crash reports? Try updating After Effects to the latest version (23.6) and see if you still get the issue.

Hello Nishu I have AE version 23.3.0 and it doesn't ask me for more updates. It seems to be the last one. As for errors, I don't get any AE errors, there is only a system window that tells me that an error has occurred and asks me if I want to send a report. Attached image

The error always occurs. I open a new project, for example, I create a new solid and I try to apply the brush tool on it and when I start painting the application closes

Thanks for sharing the details. There have been a lot of improvements in the After Effects performance. To fix the update issue, try signing out and signing back in into the Creative Cloud desktop app. Go to the Updates tab on the left and Check for Updates (screenshot).

I have done what you tell me but I don't see any more update options. The problem with the brush tool continues and I am still on AE version 23.3.0

I just installed version 2024 and the problem has been fixed. It was not a question of going to updates because the option to update AE did not appear there. You had to go directly to Applications and install all the apps that were already in version 2024
