Apple M1Max. AE 22.1.1 OS Moterey 12.1

Everytime I try to switch the 3d renderer to C4d the AE hangs for a minute then crashes, either using an exisitng comp when starting a new project with a new comp.

Error reads -

Last log message was: <4650557> <BEE_WorkQueue> <5> BEE_WorkQueue_PreCloseProject end

Generating crash log, which may take a few minutes.

Would you update Cinema 4D to the latest? The installer is basically the same as Cinema 4D in After Effects.

Great. Updated C4d to R25.113. That worked. Thanks.

LATEST

I have the same problem. Updated all apps to the latest version (AE 22.11 - C4D R25.117), but still keeps crashing as soon as you try to invoke C4D.
Which is also a problem, because there is no way to change to a different version of C4D without crashing AE.
Catch 22.
