Can one create an effect (such as shatter) then reverse it?

Trying to do a break through via shatter

Then potentially a rebuild scene

Any way to do this? Such as keyframe reversal or something along those lines?

For Shatter, you pre-compose moving all attributes and then use Time Remapping to reverse the playback.

This works for any animation. Some specific effects cannot be reversed without using the Layer/Time menu.

Hi there,

Absolutely! To create a breakthrough effect via shatter followed by a rebuild scene:

  1. Shatter Effect Breakthrough:

    • Apply the shatter effect to the object or scene you want to break.
    • Keyframe the shatter settings to control the moment of breakage.
    • To reverse the shake effect, keyframe the settings backward to rebuild the scene gradually.
  2. Rebuild Scene:

    • After the shatter effect, use keyframes to animate the rebuild.
    • Gradually reverse the shatter effect by adjusting settings or using a reverse animation technique.
    • Reconstruct the scene by animating elements coming back together.
