Hi everyone! It's been a couple of years since I've used After Effects on my laptop and since installing the latest version I no longer have the option to use my laptop's GPU. The only option available in Project Settings>Video Rendering and Effects is 'Mercury Software Only'.
This might be related. On opening After Effects I'm greeted by the System Compatibility Report saying that my video drivers are unsupported (Intel HD Graphics 4600 and NVIDIA Quadro K1100M). I've updated both of these drivers several times and I still get this message.
I have tried rolling back to a previous version of After Effects and I get the same issue. I'm not able to roll back far enough to get to the last version that worked as expected.
Please help! The performance of a simple scene is much worse than expected and I believe it's because of this issue. Thanks!
Laptop Model: Dell Precision M4800
OS: Windows 10 Pro
Processor: Intel Core i7-4710MQ
RAM:16 GB
GPU: NVIDIA Quadro K1100M

Hi Nishu, thank you for the advice. I have followed your instructions as closely as I could and was unable to resolve the issue. I've written up the process I followed below, and have attached the latest system compatibility report.
My current drivers are:
Intel HD Graphics 4600: 20.19.15.5063
NVIDIA Quadro K1100M: 24.21.14.1163
I have also tried R418 U9 (426.78) and R390 U19 (392.68)
After watching the video about the System Compatibility Report via the link you provided I ran After Effects and exported the System Compatibility Report. In the report there are links beneath the problem devices so I followed them to try and resolve this issue.

...there were instructions to download NVIDIA drivers from the NVIDIA website, where I downloaded and installed the latest available driver for my NVIDIA Quadro K1100M:
https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us
After the install I tried opening After Effects and I still received the System Compatibility message for the NVIDIA Quadro K1100M and Intel HD Graphics 4600, and GPU was still not available in File>Project Settings.

I clicked "here" to download the generic Intel Graphics driver (igfx_win10_100.8476), however my system prevented me from installing a generic graphics driver in place of the driver specific to my system, and some posts on the Dell help forum advised against doing this and instead to get an updated driver through Dell for my system, so I tried that.
Currently I have the latest driver from this page:
https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-uk/product-support/product/precision-m4800-workstation/drivers
After updating the driver I tried opening After Effects and still got the System Compatibility message for both the NVIDIA Quadro K1100M and Intel HD Graphics 4600.
