I'm an adobe partner and I have a right to make comments about sneaky things Adobe does.
I want him to stop blocking my posts and modifying my posts.
This is the comment that I wanted added to my post and I want the original post title restored.
Ooooh I got the answers! Maxon replied to my ticket this morning....
====================
Thank you for reaching out, Cinema 4D is installed as part of the Adobe AfterEffects suite, as a free "lite" licence is available through AfterEffects by going to File - New - Maxon Cinema 4D file.
This would activate Cinema 4D and allow you to use the Lite version for free.
This is automatically installed with Adobe AfterEffects, so removing it will mean the next update AE will put it back.
Hope that helps explain the situation.
Thanks
Matt

And just how do you expect other users in a public forum to tell an employee what to do?

Don't comment on this post, @John T Smith
Please just stay out of this conversation...Adobe is fundamentally a dishonest corporation.
They violate their customers trust at almost every turn.

Carlisle, sorry for any confusion. I have only updated the discussion title to increase the likelihood that someone else will discover and find value from your post. If you wish to retitle https://community.adobe.com/t5/after-effects-discussions/why-is-cinema-4d-installed-as-part-of-after... to a different discussion title, you are welcome to do so, as long as it does not break community guidelines.
I am looking forward to a response from the After Effects community on what functionality will be lost when Cinema 4D is removed from the computer.

You don't really see the big picture here. So let me tell it right now.
Adobe has some agreement (extra revenue probably) but this application from what I'm told by the vendor will reinstall even if we uninstall it. The vendor tells me that as soon as After Effects Updates the product will be reinstalled.
We have so many security risks lurking around. Why would Adobe agree to allow a third party to "sneak" software on our computers? Can you ask if this agreement applies to Windows too? I've never see 4D on my windows computer. I'm getting a new Zbook now so I can't verify which is why I'm on a crapAir now.
I put the title on purpose because it's true please restore it.

Thanks, John; I have confirmed that Maxon Cinema 4D R22 is currently being installed as part of After Effects CC 2021. I was able to move the folder that contained the app to the trash can with no problems. I do not know, though, if it will affect the ability of After Effects to function, Carlisle.
I will update the discussion title and move this discussion to the After Effects CC Discussion forum so that a community member can provide information if the Cinema 4D app is required to use After Effects CC 2021.
Thanks for your patience, Carlisle. I hope we will get more clarity on why this app is installed and what is missing if it is removed.

In my opinion, with this post, the other topic was moved to the appropriate forum and there was a legitimate change to the topic title by a forum moderator to better describe the topic - in accordance with forum rules. Or are there other changes you find fault with?

Well, after posting a complaint in an open forum, the OP replied "I consider your post on my thread harassment and offensive" when I pointed out that other users can't do anything about a complaint about an employee
You would think that an Adobe partner would have a partnership way to complain about an employee, not a public message

@John T Smith Are you done?
"Have a partnership way to complain" You haven't been here very long have you?
Adobe answers the stupid questions but moves to new forums or pass the buck on things that are "uncomfortable" to talk about but nothing ever changes. They'll apologized like it means something and lecture coworkers internally for getting caught.
I don't need your two/one cent comments here. Go bother someone about animate or cc libraries or something.
Are we on the same page now?
