I can't import a 3D model for native use in After Effects. I'm using the latest version - 24.0.2. Mac OS 13.6.1 (22G313). M1 Studio Ultra.
Whenever I import a model (I've tried .glb, .gltf and .obj using File-> Import or Drag import to Project Panel) I get the same problem. The model is interpreted as '3D model for RG Trapcode', according to the Type column in the Project Panel, and all I see in a comp is this same statement. There appear to be no interpretation options or possibility to change this. It's the same if the comp render engine is set to Classic 3D or Cinema 4D. No settings on the layer itself seem to make any difference.
The models in question are simple geometrical shapes exported from Cinema 4D.
This is supposed to be a big, new feature and super-intuitive, so I'm a bit perplexed why the basic file import isn't working.
Can confirm... working in Beta 24.2.0. Again - my mistake. ;-/
