Hi all,
I've tried both uninstalling, installing Creative Cloud, and changing Document settings to Read & Write only.
Can anyone advise on this?

Hi daphnetsanggraphics,
Welcome to the community and Sorry for your issue.
What's the version of After Effects you're using? Try enabling the root user account on your mac and running After Effects in it.
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Nishu

Hi Nishu
The version I'm using is After Effects 22.5, I've tried enabling the root user and still doesn't work.

UPDATE:
A solution I found is that I have set up another user account on my macbook, then from the new user account I downloaded CC and After Effects and it was a success!
However, in my original main account, I still cannot open AE. So from now on, I will use the new account for After Effects and other design-related applications. Hope this will help those that tried all of the methods mentioned.
