Cannot quit After Effects; Menu option grayed out

Hello, as of today I have not been able to quit After Effects-the menu option is grayed out. I am running 24.5.0.

I am using AE with Premiere, dynamically linking to comps. Has something changed?

Nothing has changed as per my knowledge. Does the option become available if you close Premiere Pro? Does it happen in all the projects?
